Following Christ, Living Faithfully, Serving Others.

Are you searching for a safe community in which to start or move forward in your Christian journey? If so, you have come to the right place.

King of Kings Lutheran Church is a growing church in the Dulles South area of Loudoun County. We gather every Sunday at 10:00 AM at Goshen Post Elementary School, and on occasion outdoors at Meadow Glen Park Pavilion, which is adjacent to the school.

We believe that “in Christ, all are one.” (Gal. 3:28)

King of Kings is a people of all ages and backgrounds, colors and cultures, abilities and gifts, physical and mental challenges, believers and questioners. We are a people who represent and welcome all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. We are committed to pursuing justice for all and reject discrimination and racism in any form. We are a church where we can live beyond societal labels to worship, celebrate, grieve, rejoice, renew, and discover our God-given call to serve and love others.

We invite you to join us as we journey in faith together!

Here are some of our Upcoming and recent Events, Announcements, and gatherings.

Let us continue to celebrate the Easter season together through worship on Sunday, May 5th, at Goshen Post E.S. and online via YouTube Live at 10:00 AM. The Gospel reading for the Sixth Sunday of Easter extends the image of Jesus as the vine and the disciples as the branches. Join us as we gather for worship through praise, music, Word, prayer, conversation, and Communion. All are invited and welcome. Christ is Risen Indeed! Alleluia!

Join us for our next monthly nature hike on Saturday, May 11th, at 8:30 AM as we hike the 2-3 Bluebell trail, at Leopold’s Preserve in Haymarket. We will meet in the parking lot before heading off, and eventually pause for a brief reflection along the way. This is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, and connect with God and one another. Please RSVP to Pr. Garrett so we can wait for you in the parking lot. All are welcome.

Join us at Goshen Post E.S. and online via YouTube Live on Sunday, May 12th, at 10:00 AM, for Worship. This will be a special worship gathering led by our graduating seniors. Come, as we celebrate their accomplishments as well as share a special blessing over them as they prepare for their next chapter. No matter where we go in life, God will always be with us! All are invited, affirmed, and welcome!

Do you have a youth in 6th - 12th grades that might be interested in participating in Confirmation this year? Students meet monthly with Pr. Garrett to explore faith and the promises often made at baptism through Scripture, theology, creeds, experiences, and activities. This two-year journey is a period of growth in Christian faith that concludes with a celebration where students share their own profession of faith. If you are interested in your youth participating, please contact Pr. Garrett. Our next meeting will be Sunday, May 19th.

Join us on Sunday, May 26th at Meadow Glen Park and online via YouTube Live at 10:00 AM for Brunch Church. Abundant life is often found while sharing a meal around a table with family and friends. Come, experience community and explore faith over a potluck breakfast. Plan for an opening toast, conversation starters, Scripture readings, homily, reflection, discussion, and a closing hymn. If possible, please bring something to share for breakfast by 9:50 AM. Everyone has a place around this table.

We are excited to sponsor an expo booth at the upcoming Loudoun Pride Festival on Sunday, June 2nd, from 1:00 - 7:00 PM. This wonderful festival celebrates the beautiful diversity of our world, especially our friends in the LGTBQIA+ community. Volunteers are needed to greet folks, share about our church, celebrate our neighbors, and promote some of our community partners such as DSNC, DSFP, DSSK, and JK Community Farm. Reach out to Pr. Garrett to help.

Get ready our KKDS Hungry to Serve Youth Camp! Students (grades 6-12) will once again volunteer with several non-profit organizations to help feed the locally food insecure. Organizations include the Dulles South Food Pantry, JK Community Farm, Mobile Hope, Lasagna Love, and the Dulles South Soup Kitchen. Every day we will partner with another organization to help feed the food insecure from farm to table. Register your youth today. There are limited spots. The cost is $30 per person. Friends are welcome to participate too! Email Pr. Garrett with any questions.

Our Upcoming Faith Formation Study

This Easter season, come discover the extraordinary gift of love in the most ordinary of places. Join us for a video study of the book Love Does by Bob Goff. Join us as he takes us on a journey of what love can look like and do in our neighborhoods, backyards, workplaces, and lives. All are welcome. There is no preparation necessary. Click Here for a preview of the study, which will begin the week of April 15th. Contact Pr. Garrett for more information or if you are interested in participating.

Our Previous Faith Formation Study

This year, the Lectionary takes us through the Gospel of Mark. Therefore, our Lenten Bible study this year is going to launch us into discovering how the Bible’s earliest Gospel portrays the incredible story of Jesus. Scholar Amy-Jill Levine will help us discover the message of Good News as it comes alive and we see Jesus in a new light. Click Here for a preview of our study, occurring on Monday nights, thru April 1st, at 7:00 PM at the Quinlivan home. Contact Pr. Garrett for more information or if you are interested in participating.
